NFPA 24, “Installation of Private Fire Service Mains and Their Appurtenances“, supply minimum requirements for the installation of fire service mains and their appurtenances for: Automatic sprinkler systems, deluge systems, foam system, private hose systems, risers, etc. This standard also applies to combined water services for fire protection and general services.

The purpose of this normative is to provide a reasonable level of protection against fire, preserve human life and property, through requirement definition for the installation of private fire service mains and their appurtenances based on principles of engineering, testing data and field experience. This regulation allows the validation of proper water supply with updated provisions.
