NFPA 14 normative, “Installation of Standpipe and Hose Systems“, supply minimum requirements for standpipe and hose for buildings and structures. This normative does not cover it’s periodical inspection, test and maintenance.

The purpose of this normative is to provide a reasonable level of protection against fire, preserve human life and property, through requirement definition for fire protection standpipe and hose installations, based on engineering principles, test data and field experience.
